Breathing Stories To Life

I believe in the power of storytelling. For more than 15 years, I've had the pleasure of breathing life into stories — on stage, over the airwaves, and now, from my favorite place — behind the mic.

My journey began with founding a Readers Theatre group in my community—performing everything from literary classics to short stories by local authors. Soon after, when our town launched a community radio station, I curated and narrated short stories, like NPR's Selected Shorts, including some of my favorite works by Virginia Woolf, Jack London, Ernest Hemingway, Willa Cather, and others whose words echo through time.

My transition into audiobooks was a natural one. My friend and playwright Maureen Studer introduced me to ACX, and the moment I stepped into the booth, I knew I'd found my creative home. There's nothing I love more than drawing listeners into a well-told tale — sparking curiosity, emotion, and a deep connection with the written word. It's storytelling magic.

I studied theater at San Francisco State University, performed in various community productions over the years, and cherish the energy of the stage. But my true passion lies in intimate storytelling — the kind that lets listeners feel every breath and heartbeat of an author's characters.

When I'm not narrating, you'll find me savoring other personal favorites... Camping lakeside in the mountains, traveling with my husband, spending cherished time with my sons and grandson, or communing with my "coven" of soul sisters. I love puzzles, old movies, knitting, and a glass (or two) of world-class Sonoma County wine. (Yes, I am a bit of a wine snob.)

Another enduring love, Art Deco, is reflected in my newly refreshed website. That era's elegant style, glamour, and detail mirrors how I strive to approach every story I narrate — with memorable voice, drama, and heart.
