German Accent: Excerpt from Women’s Work, Character Greta. by L. Sydney  Smith, Copyright 2013.

I view storytelling as an important, and ancient, part of society and civilization. Every culture has its stories and its tellers. I am honored to be one of them and to carry on this tradition. Before audiobooks, I started a Readers Theatre group in my home town. I also created “Not Your Mother’s Storytime” – a radio show based on Selected Shorts on
NRP. I then turned it into a podcast and a YouTube channel. One of the things I love about my YouTube channel is my listeners are 18-24 year old English 101 students. If I spark an interest in the classics for this new generation, I’ve done my job!
I studied Theater at San Francisco State University, but my passion lies in stories read out loud.
